The rotary drum dryer is used for the pre-burning of hard ferrite powder, and can also be used in cement, metallurgy, chemical and other industries. The equipment is composed of the main kiln and its supporting transmission device, cooling pipe, fuel system, electrical control, secondary air inlet device, exhaust dust removal device and preheating kiln body. It has the functions of over-temperature alarm, overload alarm, automatic control of working temperature, and adjustable oxygen in the kiln.

The HZG rotary drum dryer is a cylinder with a slightly inclined body and adjustable speed within a certain range, and the wet material is fed into the cylinder by the feeder. Under the flipping of the blades evenly distributed in the inner cylinder, the material is evenly distributed and dispersed in the dryer and fully contacts with the hot air (parallel flow or counter flow) through the cylinder, which accelerates the heat and mass transfer of drying. So as to achieve the purpose of drying. The equipment can be selected in various forms to adapt to different materials, simple structure, reliable operation, convenient maintenance, production capacity. During the drying process, the material moves in a controlled manner to another star-shaped discharge valve of the dryer to discharge the finished product under the action of the inclined copy plate and the hot air flow.

The rotary drum dryer has a large processing capacity, easy operation, good drying effect, and the dried material is in direct contact with the hot air and is dried in the way of convective heat transfer. According to the flow direction between the hot air and the material, it is divided into parallel flow type and counter flow type. In the parallel flow mode, the hot air moves in the same direction as the material, and the hot air with higher temperature at the inlet comes into contact with the material with a higher humidity content. Because the material is in the surface vaporization stage, the product temperature is still roughly at the wet-bulb temperature.

Although the temperature of the material on the outlet side of the dryer is rising, the temperature of the hot air at this time has decreased, so the temperature of the product will not rise too much. Therefore, the use of a higher hot air inlet temperature will not affect the quality of the product. This is suitable for the drying of heat-sensitive materials, including those containing volatile components, such as ammonium-based salts in the fertilizer industry. However, for the drying of ammonium-based salts, the temperature of the material should be lower than 90 °C to avoid combustion.

In addition, for materials with high adhesion, it is also very advantageous to choose parallel flow drying. In counter flow, the hot air flows in the opposite direction to the material. For high-temperature resistant materials, counter-current drying is adopted, and the heat utilization rate is high. The air outlet temperature of the dryer should generally be about 10 -20°C higher than the material outlet temperature in the parallel flow mode. In the counter flow type, the air outlet temperature is not clearly specified, but it is reasonable to use 100°C as the outlet temperature in the design.

The diameter of the cylinder of the conventional direct heating rotary drum dryer is generally 0.4~3m, and the ratio of the length of the cylinder to the diameter of the cylinder is generally 4~10. The circumferential speed of the dryer is 0.4~0.6m/s, and the air speed is in the range of 1.5~2.5m/s.
